Job Opportunity: Instructional Designer Telecommute

- With guidance from project leader, determine the best communication approach or training to address performance issues and support changes in the UnitedHealthcare Community& State clinical division.
- Implement project definition reports that outline the communication, job aid, or instructional package using a variety of media and delivery methods.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify task expectations, task steps, and relevant content
- Serve as a liaison between operational, the Community & State Clinical Learning team, end users, and management stakeholders, and recommends the best job aids and training options.
- Develop job aids, and instructional packages deliverables. Facilitates the review cycles for deliverables.
- Researches and provides answers to questions posed by trainers, management, and end users.
- Implements evaluation strategies that measure the training’s effectiveness.
- Assist in other instructional design projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree desired.
- 1+ years experience in instructional design and knowledge of adult learning theory required.
- 2+ years “beginning to End” training design and development project experience or other project management experience required.
- 2+ years of experience with flow charting, information mapping, task analysis, and meeting facilitation required.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word (headers, footers, tables, inserting graphs, using hyperlinks, templates), Excel (charts, graphs, setup workbook, apply filters, formatting) PowerPoint (create presentations, graphic insertion, transitions, hyperlinks, audio, slide show, building speaker notes) Visio (basic flow charts, basic swim-lane diagrams) and online collaboration tools like (WebEx for example) required.
- HTML Articulate, Flash, SharePoint and other web based development software skills strongly desired.
- Experience working in a Healthcare/health plan managed care environment desired.
