Job Description
The Technical Support Agent addresses all technical support customer inquiries by understanding the customer’s needs and offering appropriate solutions. The Agent provides hands-on support of technical support initiatives, such as network troubleshooting and telecommunications troubleshooting within Customer Care¡¦s hours of operation, which range from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, 7 days a week.

Essential Job Functions

  • Answer incoming calls and troubleshoot customer facing technical issues over the phone
  • Diagnose audio, installation and technical related issues regarding VoIP service
  • Test configuration and debug/troubleshoot devices and applications on the Vonage Network and Mobile Smartphone¡¦s
  • Assist customers with installation of VoIP phone/application on their SOHO network, personal broadband network and/or Mobile Smartphone.
  • Perform customer call backs as needed
  • Interact with higher level technical groups/engineers via tracking system
  • Meet standardized goals and objectives as established through the management team
  • Tactfully handle confrontational or stressful interactions with the customers
  • Participate in training to maintain a high level of product knowledge
  • Document and track customer¡¦s problems, requests, actions and troubleshooting performed through provided customer care tools

Specific Requirements:

  • Strong Windows Vista, XP & 2000 understanding (MAC OS is a plus)
  • Network Hardware understanding, including:

  • SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) knowledge
  • Able to assist customer while sitting at a single workstation for an extended period of time
  • Able to provide telephone technical support to non-technical users

Candidates must live within a 50 mile radius of the Southern Reservations Office.
From an “at-home office” Reservations Representatives sell American Airlines service to prospective customers by answering incoming calls and assisting customers in reaching satisfactory solutions to their travel related needs.  They apply sales techniques while providing schedules, fare and flight information to our customers in a manner that meets the standards of high customer service as outlined in training and the call handling guidelines.  In addition, the Home-Based Reservation Representative responds to callers’ inquires in our non-airline related ventures, as call volume dictates.  Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred.
This position allows you to work from your home office, but will require you to remain at your workstation for extended periods of time.  The 24-hour operation requires shift work.  Schedules will likely include weekends, holidays, overnights, day and evening shifts, and could vary throughout the year.  You will be required to work from the local reservations office for approximately 10 weeks, which includes several weeks of fast-paced, intensive training.  Employees will also be required to report to the local reservations office periodically for training, team meetings, and as required by management.
  • We are currently hiring full time positions only.
  • This position starts at an hourly rate of $9.53 per hour.  Upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period, employees would earn a rate of $10.00 per hour with current maximum $15.00 per hour.

The Financial Services GBU is responsible for driving industry applications value propositions, messaging and development plans for Banking, Wealth Management and Capital Markets.

For our Banking industry-segment, we are investing in developing and enhancing our Revenue Management and Billing application for inclusion in a next generation version of our banking platform.  Oracle Revenue Management and Billing is based on a verticalized version the SPL product built for the financial services industry.  The product is primarily targeted at commercial banking to drive consolidated billing & pricing across multiple product systems.

As a member of the product management team you’ll be responsible for the outbound product management function for this product.  This entails working with the inbound product management team, FS IBU, marketing, sales and pre-sales members to develop value propositions, identify opportunities and help drive the products into the market.

You will be directly responsible for creating value propositions, product presentations, data sheets, whitepapers, FAQs, and content for Oracle.com.  You will also participate in analyst briefings and drive customer facing activities such as a Customer Advisory Board (CAB) for our revenue management and billing users.

As a member of the FS-GBU Product Management team, you will:

  • Develop value propositions around our product offerings
  • Work with the IBU, Sales and Pre-Sales to tailor the value proposition to key prospects
  • Work with the inbound Product Management team to prioritize enhancements for product releases.
  • Develop product collateral (presentations, datasheets, FAQ, whitepapers, content for Oracle.com), demos and training, execute Customer Advisory Boards with customer’s community and participate in analyst presentations.
  • Apply domain expertise in the area of revenue management, packaging/bundling, billing and collections and product management to deliver a best-in-class banking solution targeted at Tier 1/Tier 2 markets.

  • Presentation Skills: In this role, you will present in front of large groups.  You should be accomplished and comfortable with this job skill.
  • Sales/ Sales Training Skills: Another key goal of this position is to support the IBU and sales teams in arming them with the ammunition and skills they need to properly position products and close opportunities.
