Back to Work

Well, it’s time to head back to work tomorrow. Being able to spend so much time with Connor and Shae these last three months has been great, but all good things must end, right…It’s been a great reminder of why I want to eventually be able to stay home with them.

I think at this point Devin and I have decided that it is best for me to continue working until I am fully vested in my current retirement plan. It just seems silly to work for a company for four years and then walk away only one year from being vested. Of course, if any of our current opportunities really take off, we may have to reconsider! :)

A Little About Me

So I thought I’d start this off by telling you a little about our family.

  • My husband Devin and I started dating in October of 1998
  • Devin graduated from California State University, Chico in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with options in Management Information Systems and Production Operations Management
  • I did the same in 2005
  • We were married on March 25, 2006 in Chico, CA
  • We had our first child, Connor, on February 25, 2008
  • We plan on having a second child soon
  • We are lucky to live within a forty-five minute drive of my side of the family and less than three of Devin’s
  • A major goal is for us to make enough money to replace my current salary so I can work at home

Well, I guess I’ll leave it at that for now. I think you’ll get to know us pretty well as you follow me on my journey of becoming a work at home parent!
